Does one-way mirror film work at night?

Honestly: not in the same way. By day the outside is brighter, so passers-by see a mirror and you see out. At night with your lights on, the privacy stops working and people can see in. If you need privacy around the clock, we'll recommend a frosted film or a combination instead.

Will it really keep rooms cooler?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our solar films reflect up to 91% of solar heat and cut glare, so south-facing rooms and conservatories stay comfortable in summer, screens are easier to see and furniture fades more slowly. You keep your daylight and your view.

Will window film damage my double glazing?

Accepted Answer

Not when the right film is fitted. Most UK installers fit low-cost, high-absorption films. They soak up heat instead of reflecting it, which stresses double glazing, can void your glass warranty and can cause seal failure or thermal cracking. We only use premium, low-absorption films chosen for glass compatibility. Every job is checked against the manufacturer's film-to-glass chart before we fit, so your double glazing stays sound and your warranty stays intact.

How long does window film last?

The premium films we fit typically last 15–25 years indoors with normal care, and every installation comes with our 5-year written workmanship warranty (upgradeable to 10 years in the calculator).

What does the guarantee cover?

If you're not happy with the finish, we'll put it right — free. Our 5-year guarantee covers peeling, bubbling, discolouration and delamination under normal use. Premium film includes a 10-year guarantee, and on Standard film you can extend to 10 years as an add-on in the calculator. It's issued and honoured by ManxTints. What happens on install day?

We arrive at the agreed time, re-measure every pane and confirm the film with you before starting. If anything differs from the quote, it's agreed with you first. Glass is cleaned, film is cut and fitted, edges are finished cleanly and the room is left as it was found — most homes take a few hours. Photos of the finished job are added to your booking.

What will the finish look like?

Smooth and edge to edge, with no bubbles, creases or peeling. Mirror and dual-reflective films give every pane the same sleek, uniform look from the street, so the house looks sharper as well as more private. From inside, the view stays clear. Frosted film gives a clean etched-glass effect.

How do deposits and cancellations work?

How much does window film cost?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the film, the number of windows, their size and your area. As a guide, residential privacy film in the North West area is from £89 per square metre including VAT (Standard film) or £125 per square metre for Premium, with a minimum job charge of £250. Prices vary by area — you can change yours above. The calculator gives you an exact figure in about a minute, and 10% off automatically.

Can the film be removed later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Professionally fitted film can be removed cleanly without damage to the glass. We use residue-free removal techniques if your needs change.

Can I clean my windows after installation?

Accepted Answer

Wait 3–5 days for the film to fully cure, then clean as normal with a soft cloth and an ammonia-free cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads or blades.
